  • Abortion ends the life of a human being.  A fetus already has a heartbeat by the third week.  Most abortions occur after that point.

  • A developing baby has a heartbeat by the 4th week after fertilization.

  • Doctors consider a human being to be alive as long as he or she has a heart beat and brain function.

  • The brain is showing signs of activity by the 6th week after conception.
